Traveling Ticklebarrow

Wheelbarrow is unimaginative and inaccurate. We will call ours a Travel Ticklebarrow.

Happy Birthday Kamden!

This was taken on Kam's actual birthday, as opposed to the rest of the pictures, which were taken on the day of his party.
Kam loves his doggy balloon.

New books!
And his favorite: Hop Hops!
He really does love these little rabbit shaped crackers.
Great Grandma & Grandpa came over early and Kam showed them his trucks.
He then opened some very fun beach toys. We can't wait to try them out.
Here Kam eats with friends Hunter & Carter.

There was an old lady who swallowed a ...

Kam loves blowing out candles. We practiced and practiced and he still couldn't get enough.
Tyler wanted to make sure I knew he was eating his cupcake.
Speaking of cupcakes, they were nearly the highlight of the day as far as Kam was concerned.

Ummmmmmmm...Chocolate.
What could it be?
A Sock Monkey!

Water Guns!
A Red Wheel Barrow!
A Dump Truck with Flames!

An even bigger Dump Truck!
His very own rake & shovel!
Decisions, decisions, decisions. Talk about stuck between toys and a cupcake.
Kaylee had a birthday near the same time and saved some toys to open with Kamden.
I think she likes it.
Tyler plays with a balloon powered race car.
Hunter & Carter discover that other peoples toys are always lots of fun.
Kam thinks its very silly to run and fall in the grass.
Hunter takes a turn with the wheel barrow.
Kam really likes his trucks.

Now it's Carter's turn.

Now Kam takes a turn.

Then I show him how it's really supposed to be used!

Carter shows us just what the load capacity of the big dump truck is.
Driver's take your mark...
Looks like Kam's off to an early lead.

We're finding that Kamden is a very saftey minded, cautious little boy.

Sidewalk chalk!
Bubbles!

Math problems at a party! Thanks a lot aunt Missy.

Here's uncle Ryan showing the kids the proper way to misbehave. That would be a homiside outline he's drawing. It was complete with a smoking gun & pools of blood.
Uncle Ryan may be the youngest kid at the party.
Another cupcake. This might be the one Kam swipped off the counter when no one was looking.

Outdoor Boy

Kam loves being outside, and will almost always cry when we try to take him back inside.
He loves watering plants.
And pulling leaves apart.

And exploring.

And the ivy.

A real hose!

We should have seen this coming.

Truck!

This is one of the trucks we picked up for Kam. It is motorized such that it will drive forward/backward and then tilt and extend the flatbed. Retracting the flatbed doesn't work so well though. It also has three seperate buttons to make the siren, lights, and truck noises work. Kam loves it, and sometimes tries to use it as a skateboard.

Music & Smiles

First the smiles. Well, leading up to the smiles I got some good pictures so I'll put them here too.

This is one of his silly faces.

Kam & I (Ben) were playing in the bedroom when an acoustic song came on the stereo. Kam perked up, ran over to the corner of the room and drug out the guitar. He then set it up and continued to play along with the music. I haven't actually ever mentioned that we listen to guitars, so he put this together completely on his own.

In between belting out power cords, Kam likes to study the tuning mechanism.
Want to guess what happened to the missing strings? I meant it when I said Kam likes to belt out power cords. You should see him play with his teeth.

These next few don't belong anywhere else.So you've heard of square pegs in round holes, but Kam likes to do his own thing.

Greeting Summer

Scattered about are parts of our yard-sale haul. Kam made out phenomenally well.

The following day we moved outdoors for some reading in the sun.

Then we had to break out the water toys, as it was getting hot.

Swimmers take note, this is bound to be this years poolside fashion.

How we play soccer

Kam & I have a different approach to soccer.
First, we pick up the ball and throw it.
Then we chase the ball.
And then we kick the ball.

Milk Mustache

Wait for it...
Wait for it...Ahhhhhh!

Kamden, make a silly face!
Again!

It's for you!

Fair Weather Fun

We've been enjoying the nice weather with lots of walks to the park.

Kam first looks for a stick, and then he looks for stuff to do with the stick. Pretty straight forward approach but it seems to do the trick.

A Little Camera Help

Kam was nice enough to help me out with the camera this morning.

Mud Puddles

Kamden recently discovered mud puddles. The videos speak for themselves.

Gone Fishin'

He's looking for bait.
He has idea number one.

Now he needs idea number two.

Ah, there it is, idea number two.
Well, file that under Bad Ideas.
And this is dad running to stop the screaming.
